Grade 9 Music Course (Term 1) – Explore Music Production and Vocal Mastery
At Grade 9 Music Course (Term 1), students are introduced to software and basic recording equipment needed to make and record their music. They learn vocal techniques needed to sing runs and riffs. They develop their bass register through vocal fry exercises. They learn 3 songs in Gospel Blues, Pop, and Carnatic fusion genres. They learn complex alankars. The key of B major scale is introduced and students start sight singing exercises here. In groups, students are encouraged to write a plot for a musical of around 1 hour.
