LKG Music Course (Term 2) – Learning Music the Fun Way!

 

LKG Music Course (Term 2) can be taken by children in the age bracket 3-6 years, provided they have been exposed to the concepts of pitch, beat, 7 notes Sa re ga ma pa dha ni, and basic rhythm notations. In Music for Kids Level 2, kids learn 2 English and a Hindi song over 12 weeks. They are now exposed to the note names corresponding to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha in the Western World – Do Re Mi Fa Sol La and Ti.

 

They learn the Kodaly Symbols for the same at different hand positions so that the concept -Pitches are at different levels- gets set in early. They identify elements that make a musical sound. They understand that a pitch can be high, medium, or low. They are exposed to varying speeds in a song throughout the game. They further reinforce their understanding of beat. They continue their learning of rhythm notes and rhythm reading. They learn solfege patterns and alankar patterns 1-8.
