Master the Alankars (Level 4)
About Course
Master the Alankars – Level 4: Advancing Complexity through Scalar Grouping and Rhythmic Variation
At this level, the alankar patterns are longer and deal with different types of simple and scalar note combinations presented in varying note durations. These combinations—such as 1-2-3, 12-3-, 1–23, and similar patterns—are specifically designed to make the positions of the notes solidly fixed in the student’s mind , and they can master the alankar through repetition and structural clarity.
Each line in Level 4 exercises features two or more simple note groups that are thoughtfully combined, creating layered sequences within a single phrase. This structured complexity introduces a higher level of challenge compared to Level 3, as students must now process, retain, and render multiple note groupings in succession while maintaining rhythmic accuracy and melodic flow.
