At this level, we master the solfege patterns that are jumpy and in a more complicated order, with up to 16 notes in a single line. More time should be devoted to mastering first the ascending pattern. This involves slow, deliberate practice to internalize each interval and its position within the extended melodic line. Then, equal time should be spent on understanding the descending pattern, applying the same focus and care to maintain accuracy and pitch stability.
Once both the patterns are understood, they can be sung easily in sequence, flowing naturally from one to the other. We encourage slow singing first and then only moving on to faster speeds at this level, ensuring musical precision and confidence are built through controlled progression.
