Music for Teens (Level 5) – 12 Weeks
About Course
Music for Teens – Explore, Learn & Master Your Musical Style!
In Music for Teens Level 5, 3 varied genres of vocal music are taught – Pop, RnB, and Musical Theatre – giving the students a good idea about the main musical genres of the West. While pop song teaches about melody, RnB song demands short, groovy and energetic singing. The musical theatre song allows students to act while singing. They shed their inhibitions and become confident stage performers.
A melody writing activity is done here where students are encouraged to compose a tune in groups, write lyrics for it and also add basic instrumental accompaniment for it. The key of Db Major is introduced here and students start sight singing exercises in it. Advanced patterns of notes are created and sung. Through the course, students listen to different genres, compose their original 4-lined song, and express themselves while developing their voice beautifully.
