What Has Improved In My Singing Over Last 2 Years?

My singing journey started with simply singing in the shower. I realized that this is something that may be my strength and that I want to develop as a hobby. Soon after joining Radhika mam’s class, that hobby soon turned into a passion.

I started out as an extremely stiff alto. With the support of my amazing teachers and the exercises they conduct, my vocal range has expanded immensely. Another thing that helped me a lot was the alankars.

I made my soprano voice stronger, and now am able to sing with speed and confidence.

But, the singing class hasn’t only helped me in expanding my vocal range, but also in learning how to sing out of my comfort zone.

Some of the songs that I have sung in the past were definitely outside of my comfort zone, for example, one of the songs I learned in level two was in Malayalam, and that was extremely difficult. But with the help and support of my amazing teachers.

I got through it like many others in my class did. The vocal warmups that we sing in class prepare you for different types of languages, tempos, and words.

They also push you to go to pitches that you may not be too comfortable with, but they will help you become comfortable with them. One of the things I found especially helpful were the Alankars and Solfege because they helped me improve my singing stamina.

Singing class has not only helped me to become a more open and confident singer, but also to deal with unfamiliar situations, and deal with them with a smile.

Thank you, Radhika mam.
